I write prose more than poetry, and reading the text aloud makes a world of difference. You learn to vary the length of your sentences, when to pause, etc. Excellent post, and thank you for a few minutes of sheer pleasure.
Nicely read Atticus and a good challenge.
Wishing I was in more of a writing mind...working older stuff but in a rather dry, fallow place for conjuring new material. Filling the well by reading, particularly Alice Munro.
G. Keillor's been near at hand to lighten my step.
