In the U.S., the number of pancreatic cancer diagnoses and deaths continues to rise notably each year. Of those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, only one in four survives one year and one in twenty lives for five years. Despite this discouraging news, advances in pancreatic cancer treatments are helping some patients live longer with this disease.
