When Baby Einstein came out, I said PSAW! nonsense. Though it is true that classical music, especially Mozart or Bach can be good for brains, I saw the Baby Einstein phenom as another bogus marketing technique.

So you weren't taken in at the start! I don't doubt there is some sort of affect on the nervous system. To me it would seem calming but a child in the womb hears other sounds that are considered calming that come from mom's body, sounds the baby has heard and felt since awareness. Who knows? But I'd agree about the Baby Einstein phenom. It didn't make sense to me.
