That is funny, they are so picky. The funny thing is I think both birds ended up taking the first peanut that they picked up!!

Just a word of advice if you don't already know. . . Be careful with this type of feeder. I had a feeder like this last year and I put it in my flower bed so we could watch the birds from the window. We eventually had a HUGE mouse problem that we never had before. They actually made tunnels.

i have this up on a picnic table so hopefully they will stay away but there is bird food all over my yard the cats pretty much keep them away

That's funny. By the way, did you know that blue jays will also eat cat food? My mom used to put cat food directly on the wide railing of the balcony for the cat and the blue jays would show up terrorizing the cat and eating his cat food. It was funny.

ya one summer they were riding my cats around the yard beating them up so they could take their food those cats were sissies, they cant do it to the three i have now
