I was disappointed in President Obama for saying that people who hurt others for profit are not bad people. I think that's about as bad as it gets.

They are bad people for making a fortune causing pain and suffering, but we elected a gentleman who won't say so in public. Fortunately, he has us to say it.

I truly believe that there is a mental disconnect with these Insurance execs.. They deal strictly with numbers and bottom lines. IF they ever allowed themselves to be confronted by the results of their actions they would probably blow their own brains out. Either that, or they are Sociopaths.

I vote Sociopath, because I don't believe they'd ever blow their brains out.

It should be a required activity for those in Insurance Profit Executive Offices, to tour a local hospital at least 4 hours per week.

That has been my daughter's suggestion for some time, Kathy! She sees and deals with stuff that I don't think I would have to stomach for.

I'm not sure touring the hospitals would mean much unless they were forced to see the families having to live in the street to pay for it.

More likely it would take folks showing up at their corporate headquarters to die in the lobby to wake them the hell up.

I would disagree with the President in saying they are not bad people. To me, they are bad people when they lie to their policy holders and do everything they can to not pay for services. I realize not all do this, but enough do that they should all be under the spotlight and laws enacted to stop them from stealing money, because that is exactly what insurance companies are doing in rampant fashion now. And they are cherry picking. I am among the group who is kept out of insurance by a pre-existing condition and rates so outrageous there's no way we can pay it.

As for Hannity, he always lies and distorts as do his cohorts.

Does Fux News not have a rewind on whatever they view video on so they can check themselves? Or do we need to take up a collection and buy Hannity an attention span so he can sit still and listen to the whole sentence?

Wouldn't do ANY good, EM JAY! Hannity doesn't CARE! If ClusterFox said the sky was green loud enough and long enough, a portion of our population would agree with them. That IS the very definition of PROPAGANDA!

I just don't watch enough of that channel. One of my liberal co-workers watches and some days he is so angry. I have to remind him we aren't included in the college's health insurance plan so he'd better not blow a gasket over any of that crap he watches.

I was listening to NPR on my drive home after a very long day...they were talking about the book about the undoing of the Republican party. And the guy, who after spending two years in a mental hospital, got religion and funded the campaign. It's scary. It's like they want to have every aspect of our country modeled after a fundamentalist country...like Iran! The root of all evil is women's rights, gay people, etc. They said Dobson has a real machine going and is the one who put Sarah Palin on the ticket. Only way he would support McCain. I'm thinking we should all read the book...and the title escapes me...I think it is Republican Gomorrah????

Advertisers? I dont know about you, but I don`t watch my news so that I can check out the latest type of Campbell`s Chunky...so I am not sure what this has to do with ratings either.
