While at Huntington Beach State Park I was fortunate to get to witness the alligators not only feeding but growling at each other. Video is from 08/28/09

Oh yeah! It reminded me of how my beagle boys do when they get territorial or possessive over a raw hide.

What a frightening sound. I ca't imagine being that close to that many growling alligators. Yesterday we were at Newport Acquarium and got to see a number of alligators, they were sunning but not growling.
