~ If you've got an itchin' for a bit of raw, explosive 50s rockabilly à la Gene Vincent & the Bluecaps, here is a treat for you--a tune called "BABY BLUE" performed by the "Big Town Players", featuring, in my opinion, the world's all-time greatest guitar player--so great, in fact I don't feel I even need mention his name (though guitar afficionados will know him right off the bat!)

If you'd like to hear some more of these guys, here's their rendition of Bill Doggett's
HONKY TONK
Gee, Didn't know Bill Haley was your favorite guitar player!
Bill Haley? Ken, have you been inhaling modelling cement again? You know to keep the windows open when using that stuff!
Besides, I said that Geoffry Arnold Beck is the world's all-time greatest guitar player, not my favorite. You well know that I'd rather listen to Sir Pepe Romero playing Boccherini or Giuliani. Music tastes often change when we become senile citizens!
Or is it "Don" Pepe Romero? I'm not sure of the term for those knighted by el rey de España.
Oh. I thought you had flipped and meant the big guy with the flat top!
Oh--no, that's not Bill Haley, but a limey named Darrel Higham--he DOES look a bit like Haley, though.
Actually a lot like him, but yes I must agree with you about Pepe! I have heard other artists' recordings of Boccherini's "Fandango" and the only one I have heard that compares to Pepe's and the Academy's was the one done by the Rameros'!
That IS Pepe--him, his father and brothers, at any rate. Unfortunately, Luigi Boccherini didn't write enough stuff for the guitar besides what you and I already had years ago, but I've got some great recordings of Pepe playing Mauro Giuliani, Isaac Albéniz, Joaquín Rodrigo, and a few others.
And I needen't remind you how fantastic the recordings of him playing Ferdinando Carulli and Francesco Molino are!
No you do not have to remind me about Carulli and Molino, and I have the Giuliani you sent a few years ago. There are genius guitar genes in the Romeros.
Awesome!
