Last Sunday the lifeguard finally put up the yellow flag and put away the red. The water was not calm, but it was not as rough as it had been for the past many weeks. The life guard was opening up just as we were about to leave, but I guess no one is safe from budget costs. South Florida - Panasonic FZ 7

Two red flags - Water closed to the public
One red flag - high hazard (high surf and/or strong currents)
Yellow flag - medium hazard (moderate surf and/or currents)
Green flag - low hazard (calm conditions)
Dark blue flag - dangerous marine life
going to the beaches in Florida, so much fun.
