Good for Maine and for the couples who want to get married, I suppose. I do not agree that Same-Sex marriages should be legalized but then again, it gets really tricky when it comes down to legal stuff like dividing assets and making decisions on health care if one partner is ill or on life support or something like that so from that standpoint, maybe it does help for same-sex marriages to be legal.

Those are the exact reasons why we need Same-Sex Marriage. The fight for marriage equality is not one against religious marriage. They are two separate things and if we can treat them that way then there would be less opposition.

Marriage Equality = Basic Rights & Benefits from Government
Religious Marriage = Ceremony within your chosen religious institute
