From my vantage point, in north Minneapolis, Cedar is the second lake in the chain (near St. Louis Park). First comes Theodore Wirth. The third lake is Calhoun over by Lake St. and Minnetonka Blvd. Other lakes are Nokomis, Lake of the Isles, and Harriet. Harriet has the outdoors band stand for concerts in the summer. It takes a long time to bike around the lakes. It is a chain and you can stay on the bike trail most of the way around them (one way traffic). Between Cedar and Theodore Wirth there is a bit of a gap. To my mind, Harriet is the farthest out, but it has been a while since I biked it. Nokomis is also kind of far over on 28th Ave. S. and I don't recall if it is closely connected to any other lakes.
If you or someone you know has some property or business on or near the lakes I'd love to film it for Gather viewers. I'd especially like to see the interiors of some of the mansions around Lake of the Isles. Contact me through my email.
