Rebirth of A Palette
Hallucinatory wisps smolder, fade,
descending in final swoop
to self-contained song, timbre
of moans, once belonging,
now reactively foreboding,
blinding gapes from there to here.
Strangers' skin sheds as tongues dart
in urgency, candling fetal moons'
distorted catharsis. Flame-goddess mused,
serpentine histories burned as offerings,
smother poems, remothered, then charred,
tempered into raw heat's predictable cycles-
rare or scorched, after-bathed in fire.
Pyres' haze blankets spires' sungold-glazed
skies, bleeding hot, unheavened rains
tearing through clouds' refrain.
Ashy myths tumble bare solos,
re-editing memories' soul gestation,
earth's hot-skinned horizons
timing lifelines' thinned release
to smoky whispers of once-mirrored gaze,
become again fantasy's fetal haze.
In the greying...a speck of crimson burns bright,
yearns its way to canvas, plays with light.
Heart-probing heat kisses a brush
with rebirthed palette, never silent,
always readying a passionate pose,
if only to taste a metaphor - a rose,
conspiring its next, most vibrant bloom.
Lustfully unhushed and primed for lush
schemes to seduce any wanting room,
licks of liquid spirit-fire gush higher,
lava trickling about fingers,
wrapping moonpulse with fire.
