"Hey, President Obama! This is Louie the Loggerhead Turtle here, wondering if it's too much to ask for you to keep your promises. Just a few weeks ago, you promised to let science have its proper place once more, to let science dictate policy rather than the other way around. Funny thing, Mr. Obama, but when the legal deadline came for your government to give a decision about whether to list us loggerhead turtles, and leatherback turtles, as endangered species, you just ignored the law. You didn't give a decision, even though science indicates that we're endangered. Please, President Obama - don't by a jerk like George W. Bush was. Obey the law, and give us loggerheads a decision.

People think that the President is Harry Potter and can get everything done at once. He's a human, like the rest of us and can only do one thing at a time.

Chuck and Elizabeth, the President both has the power and the time, through the vast bureaucracy he has authority over. It's his responsibility to lead. I'm sorry to hear that you don't think Barack Obama ought to follow the law. All it takes is for him make a decision, and to keep his promise to restore the proper role of science in government.
