If you failed the written test for a driver's license 775 times in 4 years, would you keep trying?

It has been such a rainy and dreary day here. I thought I would take a look at some more videos tonight. Thanks for sharing yours to help brighten my evening!

I passed the wrtten part with 100% but failed the drivibg test 7 times before I actually passed. My third fauilure stands out in my mind as the officer asked me to do a K turn, just after we crossed a RR track I was nervous as a train was going past but when i backed up I backed into a schoolbus . I then said I must go talk to the driver but the police officer remained cool and said just slide over I will be talking to the Driver, after about an hour the officer drove me & my dads car back. I felt bad for my dad as he saw others come & go but I did not come back and when I did the officer was driving, The officer said sir I feel sorry for you please do not bring her back for awhile. After my fifth test failed, I was practicing in the parking lot at home when I hit the gas instead of the break and hit the house, casusing lots of damage to both the car and the house.my poor dad refused to teach me after that and told my then boyfriend I give her to you, you are a better man then I if you can teach her to drive,

In what part of the country are you most likely to be driving? I'd just like to know how much I can relax while walking at crosswalks.

lol that reminds me of a true story that was told about my grandma which i will try and post tommrow since i am going to bed now

Wow. You'd think by now she would have memorized the questions, even if there 5 different test versions. :)

That just seems asinine.

Now, that's what I call stick-to-it-iveness!

What scares me is that a municipality would allow someone to retake it with such frequency if they are failing.

I agree with Debra C.; it seems to me that after a certain number of failures, one would be denied the license. What happens if she gets to actually drive on the road with others? --Joe

Just the possibility that there is someone in the world who could fail a written driving test even 10 times frightens the hell out of me, but I've witnessed endless encounters of stupidity on the road right here in the good 'ole US of A--Thank God I've never checked out South Korea--that lady might just say 'the hell with it', and buy her truck anyway! She hasn't even yet BEGUN attempting the DRIVING part of the test!

I think the questioning would begin after failing twice............... but that's just me!

I'd think publicity would be the LAST thing she'd want. Is it likely that anyone could thrive on embarrassment?

She just needs to get a bus pass and save her dollars.

It was a joke but yes, actually I can think of alot of people that can thrive on embarrassment, being evil, or even crazy, have you seen some of the people on television? Tay Zonday the guy that sang "Chocolate Rain", William Hung, Michael Jackson, Madonna to name a few.

I would keep trying because I get stubborn and determined to prove to them and myself that I could do it.

There definitely should be a rule you can't try again for at least 30 days. Sure don't want these people on the roads. The ones who passed the first time are idiots enough.

I passed the written test the first time, but failed the road test when I (like an idiot) misinterpreted the instructions given to me and parked in a "No Parking" zone.

it took me 3 times...my great grandmother took hers so many times the officers at the testing areas knew her by name and would say hi marie, coming in to try again?. she eventually got it
