These coots were doing their evening feed and I just couldn't help but video them. The river was so still and their reflections so vivid... then they started diving. I thought it interesting the method of diving up and then a nose dive. Coots are notorious for stealing food..so you'll note they watch the other's dives and often go for their grab and shares of stolen bites. lotta cool Coot butt shots here... so if feathered butts bother you... well... I digress. Enjoy.

Thanks everyone. I know Coots aren't the most beautiful duck, but these guys were so friendly and almost tame, that I could walk almost to the water's edge to shoot pictures.

I just thought their little bobbing heads and cute butts, when they dived, were worth saving forever. Some people never see anything wild... cept maybe the neighbor's daughter... and that doesn't really count.
