Mc-Ouch !
H-m-m-m, seems to be working now.
I agree.
Original thoughts are few and far between.
Water, water everywhere and not a drop to think.
Not a ko, but an ok. Sounds good.
Buckets, buckets everywhere and not a drop to think.
You got to be at least in your forties before you stop and declare:
Hey, wait a second, that is not who or what I am!
George, how do we teach a child to learn worldly thoughts so that he not only gains from
such education...but holds onto enough of himself to challenge and improve on that communal thought?
Ah! we desperately need to do so.
This is exactly why societies that survive honor their elders. No one but the elders of a society can share the knowledge that only comes with age. Until we replace the idea that spending is the reason we exist with a desire to improve ourselves, we will never give the elders in our society the job of sharing their wisdom with us.
The elders, of any given society, is the "road map" they need to navigate a path that does not lead to a cliff.
So right and so profound.
And with each passing year...you and I are the new elderlies.
Here we go again. The ball is in the boomer's court. Buck stops here!
