song- "just shake me loose"

This is an "answer song" I wrote in response (and a very late one at that) to an old T Bone Burnett song, "Shake Yourself Loose" from his eponymous solo album that was released back in 1986. The "answer song" is a long-standing tradition in many musical genres ranging from the Blues to Country to Hip Hop/Rap, and it was a bit of an intellectual exercise for me. I recorded this very recently with a very spare production style. It's one of those sad, old-time Country Western songs written in response to someone else's sad, old-time Country Western songs.
