Adam’s lyrics struck me right away as a bridge, a robust choice of language and words possibly intended to make the final simple thought all the more powerful. (Look no further for enlightenment and peace of mind than directly into your own heart.) I tried to develop a character so completely overwhelmed by his own uncertain place in the universe, that the only emotion he could know for certain was his melancholy obsession with a girl from his past. FUN!! =)
