In a study published in the May 14 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association, researchers looked at pollution of the air by large particles. The study found that this type of pollution was not linked with an increase of hospitalizations. By contrast, locations with high levels of small particle pollution are known to have an effect on hospital admissions. Here, Dr. Komaroff discusses the study and what you can to to protect yourself.
