Thanks, everyone. Carrie, they are except that China has kind of made them political by insisting on bringing the torch through Tibet at a time when the Tibetan people are being brutally repressed. To bring this symbol of harmony and international cooperation through a place that is in crisis like this is a slap in the face of its people. I think that's probably the best way I can describe what I am hearing from Tibetans and pro-Tibetan groups.
