The Suburban Frontier: Home Innundated with Giant Tumbleweeds 50 mph winds blew these huge tumbleweeds over our fence and filled our backyard. We had to dig our cars out in the front yard to get to church because they were buried. Around our home they piled up in front of windows so when we looked outside out the window all we could see were the giant tumbleweeds.

We live in Southern California -- on the other side of the brick wall is a gated-community that is still undeveloped. So that's where most of these crazy-huge tumbleweeds came from. Our family couldn't believe this when they saw it-- when we had told them about it on the phone they thought of some small weeds.
