"The Islamic Heart of Denmark" Special Edition. The Danish Muslim culture now represents the 2nd most populous spiritual base in Denmark, after the tax-supported State Evangelical Lutheran Church. This 5-minute film is a perspective, in response to the current, unfortunately very desructive unrest in Denmark. By Bent Lorentzen, biologist, cultural anthropologist and author. Appointed in 2003 as a delegate to the Copenhagen County Social-psychiatric Development Council, he has also worked for the Danish social services as an educatior and mental health counselor, which he still does, free to those with PTSD issues who have no funds, integrating East and West therapy modalities with his own academic and experiential background_______ In 2002, the Catholic Church commissioned Lorentzen to write the English-as-a-second-language book "The Kingdom of Denmark" to prepare foreign clergy coming to Denmark on Danish heritage and customs. The first of his five-part epic Dragons of Nistala series, "Dragon's Moon," was one of two runner ups in the Dream Realms awards. The fantasy series, spanning the 65 million year evolution resulting in the human species, describe the love, battles and quantum-relativity "magic" of these archetypal dragons (dinosaurs?) who survived, hidden, the extinction event of 65 MYA. Virtually all cultures of the world incorporate these dragons, for example, the Chinese myth of how they guard wisdom. The series also describe the arch-angels and -devils of various cultures. The next book in the series, Krona, published by Twilight Times Books, takes us to a time that echoes with the Shiva myth, of water from the heavens, with the familiar protagonists & antagonists from previous books, either in service of humanity's evolution or angrily seeking to annihilate the species. The final book, now being written, takes us a few years into the future, to an appocalytic World War III, where these "hibernating" dragons awaken from beneath a melting glacier. Most seek to finally erase humanity, and again, the enchanting protagonists are there to attempt to help us survive, as they fall in love, quarrel and reach great heights beyond the physics of today. It is uncertain yet, how this one will end. Lorentzen is also working on another PhD, researching the cutting edge of neuroscience in its application to Jungian psychology theory.
