thanks for your feedback and for watching the video!!! I LOVE these kids - every group we teach is just amazing. They are like hidden treasures that reveal themselves as the weeks progress. have any of you worked with kids before?? or what work like that do you find fulfilling? I'd love to hear.

What a wonderful program. You have my heartfelt thanks and respect for being involved.
Thanks for those kind words. Lisa, I love what you shared about yourself. I asked a social worker within the LA system what is the definition of at-risk and she said that they consider all kids at-risk which really changed my perspective because I felt like it really got to the heart of how precarious that time in our lives is, no matter our circumstances, though obviously, some are more than others, sadly so, but, i thought it was an interesting helpful way to frame the work with them. and the kids we work with are very at-risk. Mariana, I'd love to hear more about your work with kids. how great to combine the art like that. I think being able to express non-verbally is so helpful.
xox to y'all
thank you SO much for that. I loved hearing your experience and what you gave to those kids, AND what a brilliant idea to give extra credit to the kids who went to the readings to listen! I never thought of that! thank you for sharing that - I am contacting the high school teachers tomorrow to see about that for when the kids have their graduation ceremony. brilliant. thank you so much. it's great to get to know you.
I agree completely!
