Hi Robin,
How interesting! I'm not much of a historian, but I have dim personal memories of the Eisenhower / Stevenson election. My memories are dominated by black and white images of the conventions and the black and white images in my parents' newspaper of warships off Korea.
Your book sounds fascinating and it's nice to see a video of your announcement. Peace.

I think you subjects are of great interest. Two powerful characters. I really want it, and I bet it is really gone soar. Good luck, and I hope I get it soon. If I would have been alive my vote would have definitely went for Eleanor. Sounds like a very interesting book.

I will make sure I get the book. I wasn't born yet when Eleanor was in the White House, but as a lover of histroical events and happenings I liked reading about her. I grew to really love her as I got older for all the important unknown things she did. I really do think she would have been an excellent choice for a president...but back in 1952 I don't think the US was ready for a woman president.

This is a very interesting concept, I suppose it could have happen, most of the women were workers in defense plants just prior to this and would have been hungry to show their ability to lead. The old boys club may or may not have been put into play, and of course a race between the war hero and the first lady would have been very interesting. Good idea, hope you do well.
