Auburn University's Rural Studio in western Alabama draws architectural students into the design and construction of homes and public spaces in some of the poorest counties in the United States. They're creating beautiful and economical structures that are unique in the world — and that nurture sustainability of the natural world as of human dignity.
The Rural Studio has completed their third generation of the 20K House — budgeting $10,000 in materials and the rest for future profit for a contractor. In a clever twist for a pair of brothers, they've combined the two in the form of a dogtrot. Take a look.

Looks like someone did a good job providing both brothers with their own space. It looks a bit raw to me with the plywood and all, but the floorplan looked like it had good flow and it looked solid.
I can only imagine the differenceyour own place makes to someone in a ught and poor situation. The best part is that they received help in managng their place and their affairs.
Great job and kudos for caring and making a difference.
