We took a trip to the Bloomfield Township Animal Shelter on Sunday. There, in a room about the size of a small closet, was about three dozen cats of various sizes and colors. All were captured in the township. Most were feral. Many were in pretty bad shape, with weepy eyes, matted fur and gouged skin. Among the kittens was this little ball of fur and her two sibs. One of the other kittens was black, the other a similar coloring as this one. My daughter would have taken them all home. Kitty has all white paws, and a little smudge of black down her nose. She's friendly and has that I'm-a-freakin'-nutjob look in her eyes. We haven't named her yet. If you're looking to adopt, they still have a bunch of kitties looking for a home.

Never mind... I got it. She is soooo cute!
She's absolutely beautiful. She apparently learned quite a few bad words at the shelter. I was amazed at some of the things she said when you picked her up.

I'll make sure Walker sees this. HE'S SUCH A SUCKER!!!! Every time he goes to the store across the street to get food for Mysti and Milo (and Pebbles, the dog) he almost buys me a kitten. One of these days he's just going to give in and bring one home!! This may be just the little nudge he needs.
