Here we are at the half-way point, and things are going about as I expected. The sink coming out was easier than I thought, and making the new sink secure is going to be a bit harder.

Headof, no doubt getting started is hard. I have to feel like it's my idea and not someone elses, and sometimes that causes delays, though that's just me being childish.

Leah, the solution has already changed. I'll explain in a subsequent video.

Thank you Muhammad. The sink is now in place and does not leak. I've tried to do other videos and my camera is not cooperating. I intend to buy a real video camera soon, and then I'll follow up on this.

Aha! You can install my upstairs sink ... the one that's been sitting in our hallway for about a month,waiting for my oblivious husband to put it in its place!!!

Sue, the nasty things in this world need to wait for inspiration. If it's something that strikes me all of a sudden with no outside prompting, it becomes a game, and it can be the nastiest thing and I'll still enjoy it. You're husband, I suspect, is waiting for that moment when he feels like doing it *and* it gleams up at him and says, "Okay, kid. Let's play."

The sink is in place, by the way. It doesn't leak and it makes this magical hissing sound when you turn on the faucet, a sound only fine fixtures have. Now we've decided to paint the bathroom black. Stay tuned.

I sure will, Mr. Mac. I started taking pictures of each step, but then it got weird and I forgot to take pictures during the struggle. Odd's are no one will notice the few missing frames. I'm also buying a video camera, because my little camera's video capability appears to have crashed.

How incredibly lucky you are that the plumbing pipes matched up! What are the odds of that happening, regardless of so-called standard sizes? Unless you pulled a permit for this job, don't worry about professional methods. Rarely, if ever, does anyone actually cut mustard in a bathroom, so do what works. Go, Ron! Intrepid home handyman, I salute you! Can't wait for the next installment.

Jan, unfortunately the camera broke. The job is done and all there is is the photo blog. Oh, I have to install the toilet paper holder (but how interesting could that be).
