I hate how much TV our kids have gotten used to watching. I hate that I've let it happen. So from time to time I try to distract them and teach them to use the creative part of their brains. Tonight it actually worked! The television was off and they were entertaining themselves with a little help from me as a referee.

On the TV front, I don't watch it much if hubby is at work, but if he's home I get sucked in because we like a lot of the same shows! The kids aren't too bad with it. They all like to read and play outside and play imaginative games.

We try to keep the TV off a little more nowadays. It's not helping anyone's brains.
