A dredging machine cleans the harbor entrance for safe boat traffic. North winter winds bring in sand and create shallow water. The dredge sucks up the sand and pumps it via a mile long pipe back out into the lake.

Never seen anything like it before. I wonder how many aquatic creatures suffer because they are covered up with the sands this thing displaces.

We see this all the time on the river here except the sand they get goes straight into sand for sale..

we have these on the river except they drege for sand to sell to mix cement with.
