I think she is starting to show her age, these live to be at least 20 shes been hanging out around here for a very long time but not looking so good this year

Wow, not bad for someone who's never seen a woodpecker, as for red bellied I would never have guessed. I wish we'd get the variety of birds you do.

I feel cheated when i see what some people post we really only get a few varieties some people seam to have a jungles in their back yards

Wow, thats how I feel. I see Grakles (those big black birds that look similar to crows but smaller), morning doves, sparrows and, rarely, Eagles or Hawks, but only overhead. We have one other bird that seems to live in my neighbors pine tree but I have no clue what it is....I posted its photo but no one else seems to know either.

I know there are ducks and herons somewhere around this area, but I don't see them very often, they stick with the fields that the farmers plant or stay in the Rio Grande (if it has water, that is)
