I walked the trains tracks at night twice from Kobe to Nishinomiya. Eeerily quiet.

I grew up with train tracks very close. I walked them quite a bit because it was the most direct route from one place to another. There was something about doing that that actually relaxed me. I would be looking down at the ties, the rails, the various connection points, and the rocks between the ties.

Thanks. I don't have a lot of interesting things around me to photograph, but some of the photography groups will sometimes put up a prompt that I can use.

Thanks, Barbary. BNSF is in the process of replacing old ties. They've been working on the east-west routes for the past year or so and, just recently, started working south. I've been trying to find old date nails in the ties, but haven't found any yet.

If they ever finish this project, I'll get a picture of the new ties.

Thank you, Marilyn. I mentioned in an earlier comment that I don't have a lot of interesting scenery for photos but one of the groups will occasionally put up a prompt that I can handle.
