While scrubbing dusty windows, I pulled off the window lock to remove old layers of paint. Look at the detail used in such a simple piece of home hardware. A silly treasure from the old castle.

I enjoy looking at the detail in artifacts from earlier times. It took so long to make things and do the work necessary for life that I wonder how they found the time to make things like this. I surmise that it involves innate creativity that just needed to be expressed.
