Hope so, Nana! It will be interesting to see who is first to claim it next Spring, as both the wrens and the chickadees have been checking it out and scaring each other off!!

You are joking, right?!! I couldn't begin to make something like that! My husband and I bought it about a year ago in a little shop in a small town near Ashville, NC. It had plants in the vases on each side, but we thought they were "fake." So by the time I realized they were "real," they had died! So I need to get something to put in there now!

First, you are clearly talented. And artistic talent can be spread across various manifestations. And I thought the little pots held the birdseed, plants would be cute. You could put in fake ones, like you find in model train stores.

You are sweet, Vivian. The other artistic talent that I do have is needlework. I think I posted an article with photos of some of them awhile back.

You were reading my mind, Vivian. I was thinking I'd put fake plants in cuz I'm not too good keeping "live" plants alive! LOL

That is an awesome bird feeder. I love how the bird is clearly checking out the digs. I think I would wait 'til after winter is over, then plant something that doesn't get very big very fast.

I don't know which impresses me more, the wonderful birdhouse with its surrounding porch, or the lovely picture you took of it and the prospective tenant. I would not bother with foliage, real or plastic. I'd put food and water in the containers.
