This is the pond that's still stocked every year with trout, for open day of fishing season. You'll see people of all ages lined up, at the side of the pond, to try to catch something, anything and the ducks disappear or hide that day. Rowboats are allowed, but not motorboats. Some things never change.

Nice capture of the scenery
Ahh, nothing like yours, Marianne. We didn't get to W-mart for the children's shots, (I was serious about that one), but did go to another parking lot and wow, everything came out awful. Those kids are fast! Well, faster than either I am or Mark is.

This is for the Genre Creative's Photo Challene - the topic is Water. At least it didn't run away from me!

It looks like a nice little pond.
It is, and there's a gazebo with a table in it, if you want to stay awhile and bring something to eat, many benches to sit on, near the water, but the ducks are so friendly and they want to eat, it's a good idea to have some stale bread with you. They do bite.

This worked out very well in B & W. nIce scene. I could lie on the banks and dream about fishing, but that's my limit, dreaming.
Umm, you couldn't. If you did lie on the banks, the ducks would walk all over you. :)
