Sure is. It was so neat watching him up close through my zoom lens. I think this is 35x zoom (using some digital zoom to get close in)

Red-tailed hawk in Arizona. Taking a break. The wire is part of the telephone pole and he just has his wing resting over it, there is nothing wrong with him. I'm assuming this is a red-tailed hawk nest. They have been building these huge nests in the telephone poles that run along Roosevelt Lake, Arizona. Red Tailed Hawks can be found throughout the Americas. Their high screeching call is one of the most cliched movie sounds ever. Photo taken at ZooAmerica, Hershey PA. The Norman Bird Sanctuary's resident Red-tailed Hawk. A female, her right wing is broken and useless for flying. Her hander said they have another hawk and a Screech Owl being added to their menage. . .
