24" X 24" oil on canvas, "Tourists In Paris Wearing Red With Camera" by Warren Keating, is an, above-view, figurative painting from my Overview series that was featured on CNN. This depiction of the vacationers in Paris is the result of combining video that I shot from my balcony at the Hotel Lutetia in St. Germain during a recent trip to France. The style of this painting reflects a type of mark making that I have invented, a kind of "pixelated impressionism" where the expressive swashes of paint depict the pixels from the original digital video reference image. My work is considered part of the Paintography movement.

On, this is gorgeous. It 's more impressionistic than your other work. (Is that really a sensei, though?)

No, Ann that's not a Sensei; that was a goof. A remnant sentence from a previous description. Thanks for catching it, and thanks for your nice comment.

Maybe because this painting is smaller it seems more Impressionistic; I dunno. I used smaller brushes to paint it, but I felt that there was less pixelation in this one due to the different cropping on the video reference.
