Something made with stone – an Inukshuk photographed at Flat Rock Cellars, Jordan, Ontario, a winery in my neighborhood. Canon Powershot A720IS. Edited the color and used a few filters in PhotoScape trying to make the snow fall stand out. Alter Your Pics.

Before I really got a good look at the photo I thought you had edited it and taken one of your inukshuk's from the river and put it in a winter scene! This is cool, I really like it. I can't wait for snow!

Very neat edit. I CAN wait for snow. In fact, if we get any in the near future, I will be glad to send it to Jessie since she wants some.

Jessie is my niece and I know where she lives and trust me - she will have snow before either of us do....and I agree - she can have it. Usually I look forward to snow because I love to ski (so does she) but I'm scheduled for a new knee soon and after that there will be no more skiing for me. I am forced to retire from the sport but will do so willingly - being able to walk again will be nice.

I was in what Canadians call Cottage Country visiting a new Fruit Winery - where they make wine out of all fruits not just grapes (wine grapes are hard to grow where its cold) and the owner and a friend built a hug inukshuck in front of the winery. They dragged stone out of the bush and and with the help of machines stacked them. The stones were dirty so they took a power washer to the finished product. Little did they know the stones had been covered in poison ivy and the spray off the stones covered them and both men were covered in poison ivy. They were miserable!
