Fall Trees • For some reason, so many of the best photos have water in them. I'm not sure what it is about water that is so enticing to cameras, but beyond taking good photos, it feels good to be around water. There must be some kind of energy emanating from water that puts a blocker of sorts on the stress signals bouncing around in the brain, no? Here are a few trees that I try to capture each year on Lake Mantua near my home. It takes some weaseling to get to where the good photos can be taken, but it's therapeutic and well worth the soggy sneakers, biting insects, and occasional twig in the eye! Oddly, and as a random tidbit of information, I don't see the reds as well as others because I'm colorblind, so the yellow trees stick out to me more.

I agree with you, David ~ water seems to have that ability to melt your troubles away and clears the senses. What an awesome photograph this is! I love the reflections and the colors you've captured ~ amazing shot!

I know why I like your pictures so much, they have phenomenal texture. The smoothness of the water, the almost fuzzy appearance of the trees and, the light and dark of the picture. Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures.

The light on the yellow tree is really beautiful..and the blurd reflection in the water ..is great,
David ..I laughed..you know...when you wrote "occasional twig in the eye! " ..I wondered ..."That must be when he took his Profile pic covering the hurt eye and trying to open the other wide enough to be able see better ...Ha Ha,....What say you David ???
