that's a cool shot - Ive never been to a pro baseball game. Lots of football in my life but no baseball.

Thanks DD! I've been to one pro football game (Kurt Warner's Rams). It was in my old employer's luxury box in celebration for a successful project. Then they laid me off... My younger son came along to the game and was amazed by the many TV screens in the room and the endless snack food. :)

We go to a few Cardinals baseball games, but I'm not really into crowds. Fenway is once place that I really do enjoy.

It is a nice angle on the field; cool shot.
I had season tickets to the Diamondbacks their first year here in Arizona, as well as Cardinal's (Football) tickets for years until they moved to the new stadium from ASU. It all got too expensive to keep them... *sigh*

Thanks. It was amazing to be in the first row (thanks to $100 and Stubhub). I'm 6' 2" and couldn't fit my legs between the seat and the wall, but I didn't mind. I could have played catch with JD Drew and Vlad Guerrero. In fact, the Angels center fielder threw a warm up toss between innings that sailed on him and came close to crashing into our section, but Guerrero jumped up to catch it. There was a collective exhale (there was a security person who saw it coming and probably would have taken one for the team to save us).

I'm glad you had tickets to the Cards at least for a while. They used to be our team. Now we have the Rams, who are rebuilding. There are a lot of Kurt Warner fans in town, as you might imagine. I've only been to one pro football game (story above) and one college game. The cost for the pros is very high, IMHO.

I have no problem with players earning market value, but sports are like dinners in Tokyo: the cost is driven by corporate clients, and, depending on the sport, regular people might only get to look in through the window now and then.

I used to be a Ram fan when they were in Los Angeles. I grew up in Southern California. I still remember all the old team when they dressed in blue and white, and led by Roman Gabriel at QB, LOL.

Ah, the good old days. I went to school in SoCal (Irvine) back in the day, as in when there were still open fields all over the place... that's another LOL vs. how it looks today, without an available square inch.

Roberta, I knew 6 months ahead of time when I'd be going for a business trip and I bought the front row ticket on Stubhub for $110, which I thought wasn't bad for a once in a lifetime experience (glad I wasn't trying to take the whole family at those prices...).
