Very pretty photo. Our water temp is still in the mid 80's here. We went to the beach this morning, low tide and beautiful. Now the hurricane is out there and who knows what the rest of the week will be like. Looks like we'll just get a lot of wind and rain and maybe ten foot waves. I'll have to make a trip over and see what it looks like when that happens.
I've always wanted to see the ocean when there is a lot of wave action.
We lived in Houston when Hurricane Alicia hit in Aug - we went to the beach the day after, that will forever be etched in my mind, it was a scene of destruction like in a film about the end of the world. The very bottom of the sea had been lifted, shifted and dropped in places. The houses close to the beach looked like a giant had had wiped them all of their stilts and the house was laying in the sand - next to it.
Lisa - that was the reason I took this picture, I loved the cloud formation. I experimented with wide or horizantal and having the kids up closer or not. Unfortunately it was dusk and part of the picture appeared to be in shade, that's why I used the HDR effect so the details wouldn't be lost in darkness in a black spot on the photo.
