In Northeast Minneapolis (I won't say where exactly), a Peregrine Falcon has taken up residence in a tall pine tree. She flys around an perches in neighboring trees, and is not terrified of people. A local resident pointed her out to me as I was making the yard sale rounds yesterday.

Great capture!
May residents respect her as they observe her and learn about her. May she thrive.
Judging from the way the women at the yard sale were talking, I think she'll be as protected as she can be. The tree the nest is in is, I think, I hope on private property.
THATS NICE I LOVE TO SEE NATURE I HAD A WHITE OWL LAND IN MY TREE ONCE HE WAS BEAUTIFUL THANKS FOR SHARING
I used to do a lot more birding than I do now. When I moved to the city, so many opportunities opened to me, I don't do a lot of things that took up my time in the sticks.
almost didnt see him
I had to constantly adjust the camera back to get the branches in context, then I'd zoom in. By then my arms were shakey. I finally lay down on the ground, on my back, rested my head on the ground and kept my hands steady with my face.
Great looking bird, nice photo.
Thanks so much for sharing with my group.
Certainly, Nana. That's why I joined your group, so I've been waiting for an appropriate reason to post there.
Awesome, Ron. Would it be alright with you if we put this up on the new Minnesota Public Radio News website mprnewsq.org as the photo of the day?
Sure, I'd love to be featured on NewsQ. Make my day.
