Most people don't know that and I should have pointed it out. These pics are reverse plates.
Wendell does a great job and incidentally a good living doing this.

Actually, the event battles per se are broken down into historical and tacticals. The tacticals are often quite different from the historical battles. But as you say the battles are pretty well choreographed the whole time.
I love history. The South and New England are both blessed with lots of it, military and otherwise. I bored the hell out of my wife in Rome because I wanted to see the old Roman military sites!
