Some signs at the Cincinnati Tea Party on March 15, 2009 were more professionally done than others.

Great photo
10 for you
What do I mean? Here is a recent example:
Some say the recent flap about the AIG bonuses was engineered and caused a long time ago by Bush et al. +shrug+
It may be true that the bonuses were, (as one of my Gather friends said), "voted for by McCain and Obama and signed into law by GW Bush." I know I was dissappointed that he signed some bailout before he left office ...
But let me give an update on this drop-in-the-bucket that is the AIG scandal:
It was:
Possibly voted for by McCain and Obama and signed into law by GW Bush.
Very recently worried over and partially fixed by some in Congress? (see the web page given immediately below this paragraph)
Then some of those fixes, in particular the ones pertaining to the bonuses were taken out by Obama (and Geithner? et al).
But, after all was said and done if anyone, if anyone else at all besides most of the Republicans had conqered their panic long enough to take time to look it over and ponder consequences BEFORE voting on it and signing it into law, those bonuses would have either been reduced or eliminated. And who knows what other timebombs might have been defused also, But instead they were signed into law by President Obama on that day of haste.
Ah, well .... Irt Dodd. I don't know if Dodd is a good guy or a bad guy here. I have a feeling he's passing the buck when at least 40 cents of it belongs to him. But giving him the benefit of the doubt ....
"clearing the way for the AIG payouts"
March 19, 2009
" . . . Dodd, a five-term senator, was already facing a tough re-election contest in 2010. He says the Obama administration insisted he modify his proposal to rein in bonuses at companies getting billions of dollars in financial bailouts so that it would only apply to payments agreed to in the future _ thus clearing the way for the AIG payouts."
" . . .In the case of the bonus language, the Obama administration asked to confine the executive pay restrictions to contracts made after Feb. 11, 2009, fearing lawsuits if they tried to reach back further.
They also argued, as President George W. Bush's team had before them, that enacting strict compensation limits could hamper companies' ability to attract and retain vital talent at in tough financial times, according to aides who spoke privately about the internal talks.
"But for Sen. Dodd, there would be nothing in this legislation" on the issue, Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., told reporters. "I think we did the very best we could." "
If President Obama *didn't* know the bonuses would be paid out because of language in the stimulus bill he signed into law; he *should have known*.
If President Obama *did* know the bonuses would be paid out because of language in the stimulus bill he signed into law, he is a liar.
Either way, because President Obama, however calm he looked, acted in panic, passed that stimulus bill possibly without reading, or understanding it (but probably knowing exactly what was in there about the bonuses)... it's his baby now. Once his signature, once President Obama's signature hit that bill entering it into law ... the bailout and bonus baton became his to carry.
Eleven Hundred Page timebomb ..
"Before anyone gives the president an award for political courage, remember that provisions regarding the bonuses -- and who knows what else -- were buried deep inside the $787 billion economic stimulus bill that Obama and his fellow Democrats rushed through Congress.
Every single Republican in the House voted against it, and all but three GOP senators did the same. There's no way Obama can blame the stimulus, and its contents, on anyone other than himself.
"What's beginning to happen is his actions are starting to have consequences," a Republican pollster told me. "And this is one of those. He hurried everybody through that process, and it's now his actions that are causing things that people are unhappy about."
Think back to the day when House Minority Leader John Boehner held up a copy of the stimulus bill -- it must have been six inches thick -- and said, "Eleven hundred pages that not one member of this body has read. Not one." "
[Lee says ... And Then ...]
"Urging lawmakers to vote no, Boehner continued: "What happened to the promise that we're going to let the American people see what's in this bill for 48 hours? But no" -- at that point, Boehner dropped the massive bill to the floor with a thud -- "we don't have time to do that."
So the bill was hurried through, and Obama signed it in a flash. And now we're finding out that there were, in fact, problems that should have been the subject of public debate -- just like Boehner said. Once-confident Democrats are worried, and Republicans have a serious I-told-you-so opportunity. "
Prima Donna, just taking the sign's information, the President lied about there being no pork in the stimlus bill or the omnibus. He lied when he said he wanted no lobbyists in his cabinet and that he wanted capable and honest peope. By the choices he made, that is not true. Plus the sign says that healthcare, global warming and education did not cause the economic crisis, nor will they resolve it. Obviously the president thinks that to be the case. Obama said he would not tax everyone, but the cap and trade will do just that. The sign is pretty clear about some of Obama's lies.
And let's just say Bush left office with a deficit of about 2-3 trillion dollars. Do you really think (without looking at a picture or video of Obama speaking ..) do you really think spending another 2- 10 trillion dollars on top of an already huge deficit is gonna fix anything or actually lower that deficit? Mmm 2-3 trillion plus 2-10 trillion equals about 4-14 trillion (or some such outrageously huge denomination).
Or is Obama's spending gonna raise the deficit to maybe more than triple what Bush left him with ... and then maybe he'll lower that deficit by half, leaving us with at best double what Bush left us. And worse case ... still stuck with a growing deficit because of all the new/extra cumbersome gov programs Obama put into place?
Lying all of them lie!!! Bush did the most lying! Obama is trying to fix what Bush did .

Let me use myself as an example instead of trying to guess at your or anyone else's situation.
Let's just say I am overdrawn on my checking account and .. and over the limit on both of my credit cards by about 12, 000 dollars each. Do you have any idea what my husband would do to me if I tried to decrease that deficit by applying for two more credit cards and getting the existing card companies to raise the limit on both of them so I could begin spending myself into solvency on those cards also?
Then what might happen to me if I not only continue to spend on my overdrawn checking account but I open two more in my children's names, put no money in them, but write checks totalling all of our previous debt combined.
According to Obama's and ... your? computations, by that time instead of being divorced we should be rolling in clover and just about out of debt. +shrug+
Lying all of them lie!!! Bush did the most lying! Obama is trying to fix what Bush did .
