Went to http://ww.bahia.us and located the following quote about this structure "Construction of the Uganda House of Worship, located on Kikaya Hill on the outskirts of Kampala, began in 1958 and was completed in 1962.
The interior woodwork and colored glass windows create a vibrant hall of ambers, blues, greens and whites. When the nine large entrance doors are opened, the interior appears to merge with the sun-drenched fields and blue and white skies-a reminder of the oneness of God's creation."
Also found out from varous websites that this is the only Baha'i temple in Africa.

Drenda: Thank you for posting that excerpt. I had not read it before. Yes, so far this is the only Baha'i temple in Africa. In time there will be Baha'i temples in every city of every country.
