ocean,pacific,proposal rock,neskowin beach
Proposal Rock, Neskowin Beach, Oregon. It was a beautiful day at the beach. A little foggy, but considering it was 80-something in Portland metro, the ocean cool felt good. If you look at the GeoTag, you can see the rock...it is that white thing in the ocean. Taken September 7, 2008 with my little ole Sony CyberShot.

OMGosh Ellie, that has to be the coolest rock I have ever seen.....on the ocean shore with trees growing on top, -- that is totally awesome!!!! I would love to see 'this rock' in person!!

It is beautiful...and there is something special going on there...I took tons of pictures facing the other way...and will get an article up this week when work allows! I love the beach because it gives me those wide-open spaces and the horizon.

Looks like a beautiful day on the beach. Wish I was there. I love the geotags for travel pictures.

I didn't go that far south this year but think I will stay around Lincoln City if I go back next year. My youngest son and I stayed in Lincoln City for spring breaks when he was in junior high and I don't think I've stayed there since. I've driven through many times and always enjoy going to Depoe Bay.

We dropped down to Salem and took Highway 22 over. We avoided the congestion in Dundee!

That is an amazing shot. We went to visit a friend in Ashland Oregon a few years ago. We went to the Ocean but I think the ocean we went to was in northern California. They took us in the camper so I am not really sure but it was beautiful.

Hahahaha! That's where I left my wine bottle. No litter here. The beach clean-up and everyday Oregonians take care of that! I find this "haystack rock" interesting because it still has enough dirt left on it to grow trees. Interesting that everything else around it sunk into the sea...more to come on that!

Welcome back to the land of the living! Glad to hear you are nearly over your ills--that pace you were keeping and the stress were contributors to it, I bet.

Judging by the number of catalogs that have been arriving in my mailbox, you and thousands of other worker bees must be breathing huge sighs of relief now that the deadlines have passed! Hmmmm, wonder if that's why it has been so windy lately.....
