River Pirate's Cabin This cabin was built about 1790 on a cliff overlooking the Ohio River at Elizabethtown, IL. From the cabin, a person could see both 10 miles up and 10 miles down the river. The view from the cabin was used to locate boats and signal co-conspirators on nearby Hurricane Island. The cabin is now located at the Saline County Historical Museum in Southern IL.

Barge on the Ohio River. Taken over Memorial day weekend from Tower Rock in Southern IL. A cabin rebuilt at the site of Abraham Lincoln's Boyhood Home In Southern Ind. My kids thought it would be a great idea if we took a picture while pretending to live there. :-) March 08 My daughter, dressed up for her very first high school dance. Some 4th of July fun, my Sister in Law allowing my son to steer. Brave lady. :-)
