Getty Museum, Brentwood, CA. This is the garden and you are looking up at the museum. It is built on a spectacular hillside and the "trees" are actually wrought iron frames with bouganvillea trained up them.

Gotta love bouganvillea! Until of course you have to prune it.. nasty thorns on such a pretty vine.

I thought the frames were a great idea. I am trying to come up with a smaller scale sculptural version. I was thinking copper piping since it ages/oxidizes so beautifully. I love taking ideas from large gardens and scaling them down for home.

Great shot. Thanks for leaving comments on all of my images. As for the dragon urn, I can't make out the mark. All I can see is a faded red mark that looks vaguely Chinese. The pictures, bad as they are, actually make it better. I took a picture without the flash, and nothing was apparent. I sure wish I knew about the piece.
