Here is how---- Green Train Team! How's things going for you so far? Just a few quick reminders of things you'll need to know and do to be part of the Team: 1) You've got to be a member of the All Aboard group for the duration of the contest. If you're not sure whether you are or not, head on over to allaboard.gather.com and join the group if you haven't already. 2) You need to use this Green Train icon as your profile icon for the duration of the contest. Once the contest is over (either when one team reaches 300 confirmed passengers or on May 13th), you can go back to your traditional profile icon. In order to use this Green Train icon as your profile icon, you need to save it locally (right-click, then select Save Image As); then you need to publish it to Gather, and check the box labelled 'make this image your current profile icon'. When the contest is over, you can restore your normal profile icon by editing the image you normally use as your profile icon, and re-checking the 'make this image your current profile icon' option. 3) Hidden in the full rules and regulations is a clause that states participants aren't allowed to send mail to more than five people at a time regarding this contest, and doing so could get you disqualified -- so don't do it, or if you already have, don't do it any more. There's plenty of other ways to get the word out. 4) You have to be a US citizen to participate in this contest. (Yeah, I know, not cool, but it's Amtrak's rules, not mine.) Non-US citizens are ineligible to win, and therefore aren't counted as passengers. 5) Once you've joined the All Aboard group and made this green train your profile icon, you have to check in on the 'All Aboard the Green Train!' post by leaving a comment like, "I've boarded the Green Train Team!" 6) That's it! Now all you have to do is sit and let the train roll. Of course, you can also try to get more passengers to join the Green Train - my wife, Laura, has even made some Green Team graphics you can use if you'd like! The contest ends as soon as one team receives 300 passengers -- so the faster you can find fellow passengers, the better! Thanks, everyone!
