BTW, my computer is up and running again. I'm very glad about that, but had to get creative about filing my articles for the past few days. Thankfully the problem wasn't too difficult to solve, when all was said and done.

I have an expensive external drive back up, but I had unplugged it a few days earlier to install a new video cam (for posting to Gather!) using the same USB drive. Perfect timing, huh? ; ) Anyhow, one thing I discovered is that web and external drive backups doesn't do any good if the computer itself won't start. I'll need to burn myself a start-up Cd for the future, since my Windows was automatically updated by Microsoft and I only have the earlier version on CD.

In any event, I'm thrilled that things are back in working order now. Great to see you all here. Did any one try to answer the question above, or click through to the Retirement Dictionary? It's a great resource for self-directed IRA investors especially.
