loss of loved ones,sorrow,belief in another life,my family,pray please,pain,love,relationships,awareness,spirituality
This is a picture of my brother Larry and it was taken in 1950 upon his graduation from Engineering school in the Airforce in Denver, Colorado. He went on to become a design engineer with IBM, and worked in Huntsville Alabama with Werner Von Braun and designed the tracking computers on the first Appolo moon landing. He lost his battle with Altzheimers about an hour ago, and though he didn't remember his accomplishments or his family, his legacy will live on in his children and his grandchildren, and forever in my heart for as long as I live, I love you Larry, Heaven is a wonderful place,

He must have been a great mind, Elsie--designing computers for tracking during the first
Apollo landing.
He is in a better place now, with no more memory losses.

Stumbling I fall ,over memories like strewn furniture ,in my mind
What trick is this?
How is it to see my long deceased mother now here in this room?
Is this my home...it seems to be so and yet not familiar.
Panic and anger born of fear , familiar fellows that I feel
Do not serve me well as I stumble blindly in this maze of memories.
I am tormented but as I descend farther into the maze the familiar pattern of life ,my very activies of living ,become a strange puzzle unable to be deciphered.
So here I am ,my psyche at long last rests from the chore of remembering and forgetting to remember.
There is no pain after a while as one forgets what that is, or longing,sorrow happiness..love? do I remember that ?
I forget to eat, I soil myself...
Am I man? or no longer ? am I alive?
And yet...a light a warmth, an enveloping hope ..
I look up I see Your Hand..
It lifts me from the darkness..right over and above the high dark walls of that maze,my torment I did not even realize was my torment.
I am lighter ,I am lighter, I am light
I am love.

For Larry..now living in light as love.

Sorry for your loss Elsie. The gift that was given to you in your brother will always live on, love never dies, not even in Alzheimer's, even though we loose them early in the disease. 'The Chosen Few' is my name for all victims of AD. You will see him in, Butterfly's, birds, trees, all of nature. Glorious this place called Heaven.
