Cream of Butternut Squash Puree The soup cups were hand-painted about a century ago by one of my great-aunts. She got 12 of these cream soup cups and saucer sets from Limoges, France and painted them with 6 different floral designs. We use them on special occasions. She also hand-painted other fine china pieces. I have pubished the recipe for the soup here.

Wow what a special treat - both the bowls and dishes and the soup - it all looks yummmy - I love the history also - it makes them very special - when I come to visit - get out the paper plates! Salud.

Love the handles on the bowl, and could tell they were hand painted right away. A beautiful, appetizing presentation all around!

Dear Miz Dorine~

I so missed reading your wonderful stories and the recipes that always add so much our tables~

I made some pumpkin soupa out of the Seminole pumpkins we raised last year~Not too bad, but I do believe I will leave out the organic brown sugar ingredient next time!

Dear Miz Dorine~

Sharing the upbringing of our dear granddaughter, Miz Pacey, with her Mama and Daddy~Gardening, cooking, volunteering a bit at Preschool, and finding donations for the local Care Center in Lake Wales. Life is rewarding and busy!
